I live in an appartment, and my kitchen is sunny in the morning and my living room in the afternoon.
What are some of the best house plants?
Basil and oregano are two of my fav's. Plus they come in handy when I cook.
Reply:lemon,pannana,coconut,flower plants.
Reply:spider plants are pretty much the hardest plants to kill. they like medium light, and they are pretty easy to water.
Reply:Spider plants make excellent hanging baskets. The long, grassy leaves are available in green or striped yellow or white. Long wiry stems appear on healthy plants with many small white flowers and miniature plantlets. If these new plantlets touch soil, they will root. The plantlets can be either detached to produce new plants, or left on to create a very full basket.
African violets add some colour.
These plants are also easygoing houseguests because they don't need direct sunlight. They do need good light, but hot, direct sunlight can scorch them and cause unsightly leave blemishes. My aunt always said that an East-facing windowsill was best.
Reply:I like bonsai trees. The pleasure is creating a landscape based on the dwarf proportions of the tree, it can look great. For shaded areas I use big ferns and palms (like the bathroom where there's high moisture but usually less light). For kitchens I always use 'useful' plants such as chilli plants, herbs, spices or mini vegetables as they can all be harvested creating your own mini farm! I'm not into flowers as they are a bit girly for my tastes.
Reply:I don't know the technical term but spider plants there soooo easy to maintain and there really cute and they flower little baby plants you just have to be careful to repot them when you are supposed to because there roots are really strong and could break the pot
Reply:Spider plants are ideal in any room you can train them to grow up a wall or along the wall, also little bonzi trees are cool for maybe the bedroom or living room.
Reply:Snake plants sometimes called mother in-laws tongue. Also any form of philodendron.
Reply:Philadandrums are the best to grow ANYWHERE!They grow fast and they aren't easily killed. They grow wonderfully in the sun but they can grow also with hardly any sun. They are very versitile plants. They are a very pretty green color. If you keep their leaves clean and a bit of plant food w/ 4-5 hrs sun daily, they will grow like wildfire!
