How can I get rid of harmful worms in my potted indoor house plants?

They are small white or clear worms that may have legs and I found them all through the soil in a pot where a plant had died.

i would replace the soil
Reply:get some special soil.
Reply:They are probably some kind of insect larva, like gnats or flies. Generally, they are harmless unless you have a plant with really sensitive roots. Often they appear because of overwatering since the larvae feed on rotting vegetable matter. Repot %26amp; replace.
Reply:If they're white and/or have legs then they're not worms...sounds more like maggots...I'd make sure you didn't use dead flesh to pot your plants in next time.
