Reply:Hello there! There's many reasons why a house plant will lose it's leaves. The atmosphere of a centrally-heated room can be certain death for many plants! Increasing the humidity around plants will help, but it's often better to buy plants more suited to your situation, such as - Cacti %26amp; Succulents, Chlorophytum and Peperomias. Avoid tropical plants. Hope that helps, x
Reply:Hi. house plants have at some time come from a country where the weather is mostly warm ,damp,so to put them next to a rad isn't a good idea, niether is putting them in a draft.

You may find that the rad is far to hot, even with consant watering, so move away take off the dead leaves, add a little top soil, place pebbles in the saucer and add a little tepid water each day to the bottom of the plant. You haven't said what plant you have, so i can only suggest minor things that may help you. One last thing, if it has large green leaves try wipeing them with alittle water to remove any dust or dirt that has landed on them.
Reply:It really depends on the plant. I suggest you get an aloe plant they're fairly resistant.
Reply:If they don't like direct heat.

Another possible is you haven't fed it for a while - and it's run out of food....

they need more than water!
Reply:i would expect them to after all they need heat hence house plant but not the heat that comes from a rad it to severe
